Maynooth Summer Living
My daughter stayed at The Duke for the academic year 2024/2025 and will return next year. It’s situated within walking distance of Maynooth University. Close to many shops/bars/restaurants/bus stops/train station, easy access to Dublin airport. Rebecca and Michelle, the managers, are lovely, easy to reach and quick to respond to any queries. The rooms are a good size, clean, with everything a student needs. There are several very spacious common areas and kitchens, as well as a rooftop area. The building has 24/7 security with fob key access. It’s safe and a great place to make new friends outside of University.
One word, wow. To say my expectations were met would be an understatement. I’ve been to many a hotel, bnb, Acom and in terms of overall worth, the duke is easily #1. I came in at 00:30 and the Ravishing Richard was ready to give the upmost care and attention. We cracked jokes, made memories and developed more than a customer, and employee relationship. but a friendship. In the morning I woke up feeling refreshed, ready to take on the day. Honestly Carpe diem should be plastered pon the walls. That’s how it makes you feel. The rapturous Rebecca awaited for our arrival and check out. Kindness radiated from her soul. We once again had a podcast worthy conversation of tales from the past and present. Even though I had rang her last night due my ignorance in finding the door. No grudge was held, only consideration for an amazing experience. To be frank I came to maynooth in search of Paul Mescal. I stayed for the Duke. Highly recommend
Stayed here after a long day working at a festival, richard helped us to our room. exceptional service and a friendly person! when we checked out Rebecca was lovely and we had a great chat. this place is great would highly recommend!!
Spotless clean and new, ideal location , staff exceptionally nice and facilities brilliant, the kitchen and lounge area were also spotless, roomy with great character, I would definitely recommend

One-day short stay. The staff are kind, the room is clean, and the fee is quite reasonable. I bet you can enjoy your stay there:)
The Duke is such a wonderful place with a perfect location in Main st. Thanks to the staff Rebecca, Richard, Stan a.o. who were extremely helpful with anything. This is the place to be - budgetwise and people wise. Also just beside nice bars and shops and friendly locals.Theres a roof top for the summer, as well as a clean kitchen, easy coffee making, and other things, and quietness at night. The bed was good, the rooms clean and the whole experience felt like more. I hope to come back again soon! Loved it!
No TV walls are paper thin you could here everything staff great but pity a TV would have saved alot and socket by the bed not there
Nice clean accomodation. Location is ideal for all local attractions. Lots of bars and restaurants within 5mins walk of the front door. Staff are excellent, friendly and very efficient, with a guided tour of the accomodation on arrival.
I stayed at The Duke for 2 nights and had such a lovely experience. The place has just opened, so everything is brand new, modern, and super clean. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even better. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in Maynooth!
